Start With the Surface
A label can have beautiful artwork and still fail spectacularly if the adhesive does not suit the surface. Smooth glass, coated packaging, plastic, painted metal, fabric and a concrete floor are not interchangeable. Tell us what the sticker will be applied to, whether that surface is flat or curved and if it is clean, textured, porous or exposed to moisture.
Paper, Vinyl and Direct-to-Film Options
- Gloss paper stickers: useful for selected packaging, mail and indoor applications where a paper label suits the job.
- Vinyl labels: selected permanent products offer UV and solvent resistance, making them better candidates for tougher environments.
- Direct-to-film stickers: individually cut full-colour options for many smooth hard surfaces, with variable data available on selected lines.
- Floor decals: purpose-specific products for indoor or outdoor floor applications, with installation and surface suitability checked carefully.
- Iron-on transfers: a separate format for compatible textiles, not a general sticker that has suddenly developed laundry ambitions.
Adhesive and Finish Are Product-Specific
“Permanent” describes the intended adhesive, not a guarantee on every surface forever. Dust, oil, texture, curvature, temperature and surface coatings affect adhesion. Test where the application is unusual or business-critical. Water, UV and solvent resistance also vary by product, so use only the claims listed for the exact label.
Clear stock behaves differently from white. Colours can look less vibrant and may change over a dark background because there is no white base behind the ink. If colour matching matters, review the proof and the Pantone colour guide, then allow for the chosen material.
Size, Shape and Variable Data
The live range includes small rectangular labels, squares, circles, larger strips and selected house-shaped formats. Keep text large enough to read at the final physical size. Product codes, names or sequential information can use variable data on selected products, but the data needs to arrive clean, final and matched to the artwork template.
Useful Applications
- Product and gift packaging: seal tissue, brand a box or add campaign information without ordering fully custom packaging.
- Events: label equipment, delegate packs, sponsor items or temporary campaign materials.
- Direct mail: add a clear branded element to envelopes, folders and campaign packs.
- Asset and identification uses: selected durable formats for smooth hard surfaces where variable information helps.
Minimums, Timing and Related Print
Minimum quantities and lead times vary by print process, cut, size and material. Supply vector artwork where requested and leave time for a physical application test when the surface is unusual. See the lead-time guide for the order stages.
Related options include resin domed labels, business cards, banners and signage, gift boxes and packaging and gift bags.
Printed Label and Sticker FAQs
Will a permanent sticker adhere to any surface?
No. Smooth, clean surfaces generally perform better than porous, dusty, oily or heavily textured ones. Match the adhesive to the application and test unusual or critical surfaces before the full run.
Are printed labels waterproof and UV resistant?
Only selected products state water, UV or solvent resistance. Check the exact material and finish rather than applying one label's specification to the whole range.
Can each sticker have different information?
Variable data is available on selected products for names, codes or other changing details. Supply clean final data in the requested format and allow time for setup and checking.
