What Makes a Domed Label Different?

The design is printed onto an adhesive label, then covered with a clear resin layer that creates a smooth raised profile. The dome adds depth and a polished appearance while helping protect the print. It is useful when a standard flat sticker feels too temporary or when a small badge-like finish suits the product.

Choose Shape and Size Before Artwork

• Rectangles: suit wordmarks, model names and horizontal layouts, with several compact proportions available.
• Circles: work well for symbols, seals and centred logo marks.
• Squares: provide a balanced area for simple icons or stacked brand layouts.
• Ovals: soften the edge profile and suit longer marks that do not fit comfortably in a circle.

The Surface Is Half the Project

Adhesive performance depends on the material, texture, cleanliness, curvature, coatings, temperature and exposure. Apply labels to a clean, dry, compatible surface using the supplier guidance. Dusty, oily, heavily textured or sharply curved surfaces can reduce contact. Test the complete label on the real item when long-term adhesion matters.

A resin dome is not a force field. Outdoor life, heat, moisture, chemicals, abrasion and repeated washing may affect the label or adhesive. Any durability or weather-resistance requirement must be confirmed for the exact construction and application.

Artwork Under a Clear Dome

Full-colour printing can reproduce gradients, small brand elements and photographic detail, but the finished label remains compact. Use strong contrast, readable text and suitable bleed. The domed lens can alter how fine details look at an angle, so avoid trying to fit an entire terms-and-conditions scroll beneath a 24mm circle.

Base finishes such as white, silver, gold or clear may be available on selected products and change the appearance of the print. Transparent areas need deliberate artwork preparation. The free visual proof confirms layout, but physical colour can still be influenced by materials and viewing conditions.
